King’s Inns Library MS 11 is a small genealogical manuscript of ten folios, written in Leinster, probably in the 1520s. It is closely related to a number of other genealogical manuscripts, from Leabhar Donn of c. 1430–35 to O’Clery’s Genealogies of c. 1660, and so part of a very formative textual tradition of Irish genealogical recording in the later Middle Ages and afterwards. MS 11 contains an updated section on Leinster families, notably Mac Murchadha, and sections that are (nearly) unique on Clann Aodha Bhuidhe, Mac Quillin and de Burgh. This points to a northern provenance of the exemplar of its contents.
